Koskenkorva Vodka Climate Action
The world’s first sustainable vodka made from regeneratively grown barley
Koskenkorva has taken another step towards sustainability with its Climate Action Vodka, setting a new standard and cementing its position as a pioneer of the circular economy in the spirits industry. This first vodka made entirely from regeneratively grown barley, offering a more sustainable alternative to conscious consumers who want to enjoy a high-quality traditional Finnish brand. Koskenkorva Climate Action Vodka is gluten-free, vegan and just as smooth and pure-tasting as Koskenkorva Original.
Koskenkorva Climate Action is the result of Anora’s collaboration with the Baltic Sea Action Group and a local farmer. As part of its wider sustainability strategy, Anora plans to train all 170 of its contract farmers in regenerative farming methods by 2025 and to ensure that at least 30% of the barley used in its own grain spirits is grown regeneratively by 2030. Two of Anora’s contract farmers are currently practising regenerative farming, and this number will increase to four by next summer.
A distillery that embraces the circular economy
The commitment to sustainability is also evident at the distillery in the Finnish village of Koskenkorva, where more than 200 million kilos of Finnish barley are processed annually. The distillery operates according to the principles of the circular economy and recycles 100% of every single grain of barley – even the hulls of the barley are used to run the distillery’s own organic plant.

- 2 cl Koskenkorva Climate Action Vodka
- 2 cl homemade recycled coffee liqueur*
- 1 cl brown sugar syrup
Fill cocktail shaker with plenty of ice, add all measured ingredients and shake vigorously. Strain the drink into a chilled cocktail glass and serve.
*Homemade recycled coffee liqueur:
After brewing the coffee, add the coffee grounds to 50 cl of vodka. Leave to stand for 12 hours and filter 3 times. Add 100 g sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Fill into a heated bottle and store in a cool, dark place. Keeps for 6 months.

- 4 cl Koskenkorva Climate Action Vodka
- 4 cl Cucumber Cordial
- Soda Water
Fill glass with ice, add Koskenkorva Climate Action and Cucumber Cordial. Top up with soda water, stir and garnish with cucumber & mint dust.
Climate Action Soda
- 4 cl Koskenkorva Climate Action Vodka
- 2 cl Citrus Cordial
- 1 dl Soda Water
Fill glass with ice, add Koskenkorva Climate Action and Citrus Cordial. Top up with soda water and stir.
