Irish Whiskey
Just like its Scottish cousin, Irish Whiskey has a long tradition, dating all the way back to the early Middle Ages. The secret behind its special taste is to mix unmalted and malted barley and refrain from distilling the product over a peat fire. So although you lose the peaty smoky flavour, the natural barley taste remains intact as one of the defining characteristics that gives Irish Whiskey its signature aroma and rounded body.

Tullamore D.E.W. is the legendary triple-distilled Irish whiskey, known the world over for its unique refined taste. The origins of Tullamore D.E.W. date back to 1829, when the Tullamore Distillery was founded in Tullamore, County Offaly, in the Irish midlands. Tullamore D.E.W. is loved by whisk(e)y connoisseurs and over the last 12 years has won an impressive 30 gold medals. It's all in the making. For one thing, the triple distillation allows its distinctive taste to develop in specially seasoned oak casks. For another, it combines the best of all three types of Irish whiskey – single pot still, malt and grain whiskeys – to create a mild blend of spicy citrus fruits with malty undertones. Finally, the combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks imparts hints of vanilla and toasted wood.
