Brugal, a traditional company from the Dominican Republic, is now in its fifth generation of producing Caribbean rum according to a closely guarded family recipe. Hampden Estate has been distilling rum for almost three centuries in the parish of Trelawny, considered the grand cru of Jamaican rum. Rump@blic refines its distillates in the historic Florio cellars in Marsala, Sicily. And with Sailor Jerry, we present an authentic spiced rum from the Caribbean.
Our Rum Brands
Brugal
With a history steeped in tradition, Brugal is still producing Caribbean rum using a top secret family recipe, five generations later. Since 1888, the Brugal family has been expanding its expertise in the production process and refining the original recipe. The entire production process, from the harvesting of the sugar cane to the distillation and bottling of the rum, takes place in the Dominican Republic. The production is very complex. There are many opportunities over the course of the entire process – from the harvesting of the sugar cane to the moment the rum is made – to influence the development of the rum. This is possible even at an early stage in the process. The double distillation method used by Brugal results in a particularly pure alcohol (known as the «selection of the cleanest cut») – recognisable by its clear colour and typical dry taste profile. The ageing period and interaction between the distillate and the wood are crucial to the diversity of flavours and aromas.
Diplomatico
Diplomatico is one of the world's most popular super premium sipping rums. It is characterised by its exceptional smoothness and outstanding balance, making it a multi-award-winning rum. The diversity of Diplomático is the ultimate expression of passion and craftsmanship. Years of experience and tradition go into the creation of these unique and complex rums with a smooth, distinctive taste. The Diplomatico distillery is located in Venezuela at the foot of the Andes and near the Terepaima National Park, a privileged location for rum production. The area offers excellent conditions for growing sugar cane and producing rum, with fertile soil, abundant water and tropical weather. The tradition of sugar cane cultivation in Venezuela dates back to the 15th century, and rum has been produced here since 1896. This knowledge, combined with the favourable climate and soil conditions, gives the local rum its unique and incomparable characteristics. This led to the creation of the ‘Venezuela Rum’ designation of origin and the protected seal of quality. At Diplomatico, traditional craftsmanship is highly valued. That is why the distillation apparatus is made of copper. Some of these devices and stills date back to the last century. Tradition and modern technology, combined with the experience of the master distillers, make it possible to produce a wide variety of premium rums with different aromas.
Hampden
Hampden Estate was founded in 1753 and has been distilling rum for almost three centuries in the parish of Trelawny, considered the grand cru of Jamaican rum. The distillery is known for its heavy pot still rums, which are produced using traditional methods and have a high ester content.
Sailor Jerry
The Sailor Jerry brand was inspired by Norman Collins (1911–1973) and was created to honour the legendary tattooist and recognise his pioneering work in the art of tattooing in the US. The brand was created in a corner shop in Philadelphia – a family-owned business that sold clothes and accessories and quickly acquired an international fan base. In honour of the man who gave the brand its name and in recognition of the way sailors spiced their rum, Sailor Jerry Spiced was created. Norman Collins is considered a true innovator and free spirit who was known above all for his uncompromising love of detail – a quality that lives on in the spirits and clothing brand that are testament to his characteristic style.
Rump@blic
Rump@blic has set itself the goal of rediscovering the essence and origins of rum by using a variety of rum bases from different regions of origin and integrating the respective traditional distillation methods. This innovative rum brand combines expertise and tradition by also exploring new ageing and refining techniques to create a unique flavour profile. Rump@blic uses the historic Florio cellars in Marsala, Sicily, as the centrepiece of its refinement process. These cellars, where the famous Marsala wine has been produced since 1833, provide a unique environment for the maturation of the rum. The cellar master of the Florio cellars takes care of every step with precision and dedication - from the selection of the right Marsala barrels to the optimal storage position in the cellar, where the Mediterranean sea breeze adds a subtle nuance of flavour.
