Mule Selection recipes

Mules are cocktails based on a mixture of spirit, lime juice and ginger beer. They are characterized by their refreshing spiciness and the distinctive sharpness imparted by the ginger beer. These drinks are easy to prepare and are very popular thanks to their versatility and special taste. Print recipes

Apple Mule

Ingredients

  • 6 cl Jack Daniel's Tennessee Apple
  • a squeeze of fresh lime juice
  • ginger beer
  • fresh mint
  • 1 green apple slice

Glass

Mule mug or highball glass

Preparation

Pour all the ingredients into the glass and stir well, garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of green apple.

Disaronno Mule

Brand

Ingredients

  • 5 cl Disaronno Originale
  • 2.5 cl freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ginger beer
  • grated ginger and 1 slice of lime

Glass

Mule mug or highball glass

Preparation

Pour the disaronno and lime juice into a tumbler with ice and stir. Add the ginger beer. Garnish with grated ginger and a slice of lime.

Fluère Mule 0.0%

Brand

Ingredients

  • 6 cl Fluère Spiced Cane
  • 1.5 cl lime juice
  • 12 cl ginger beer

Glass

Highball

Preparation

Fill the glass 1/3 full with ice, add all the ingredients and stir well. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Gentleman’s Mule

Ingredients

  • 6 cl Gentleman Jack
  • ginger beer
  • lime wedge

Preparation

Pour all the ingredients into the glass and stir well, garnish with a lime wedge.

Hot Mule: Hot Apple Mule

Ingredients

  • 4 cl Jack Apple
  • ginger beer, heated

Preparation

Pour Jack Apple into a cup and top up with hot ginger beer. Top up with hot ginger beer, 15-16 cl. Based on a filling quantity of just over 2 dl per cup. Mixing ratio of approx. 1:4.

Hot Mule: Hot Caribbean Mule

  • 5 cl Diplomático Mantuano rum
  • ginger beer, heated

Cup

Preparation

Pour the rum into a cup and top up with hot ginger beer. Top up with hot ginger beer, 15-16 cl. Based on a filling quantity of just over 2 dl per cup. Mixing ratio of approx. 1:4.

Hot Mule: Hot donkey

Ingredients

  • 4 cl Hendrick's Gin
  • ginger beer, heated
  • mint & lime

Preparation

Pour Hendrick’s gin into a cup and top up with hot ginger beer. Garnish with mint and lime. Top up with hot ginger beer, 15-16 cl. Based on a filling quantity of just over 2 dl per cup. Mixing ratio of approx. 1:4.

Hot Mule: Hot Italian Mule

Ingredients

  • 4 cl Disaronno Originale
  • ginger beer (heated) or
  • 1 tea bag of ginger tea (Yogi) or fresh ginger (fill up with hot water)

Preparation

Pour Disaronno into a cup and fill up with hot ginger beer or hot water, 15-16 cl. Based on a filling quantity of just over 2 dl per cup. Mixing ratio of approx. 1:4.

Hot Mule: Hot Koskenkorva Mule

Ingredients

  • 4 cl Koskenkorva Original or Organic
  • ginger beer, heated

Preparation

Pour vodka into a cup and top up with hot ginger beer. Top up with hot ginger beer, 15-16 cl. Based on a filling quantity of just over 2 dl per cup. Mixing ratio of approx. 1:4.

Jack Honey Mule

Ingredients

  • 5 cl Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey
  • 20 cl ginger beer
  • 3 cl sweet cider
  • ½ apple, halved in pieces

Mule mug or highball glass

Preparation

Place half an apple, cut into pieces, into a cocktail shaker and mash. Add Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, apple juice and a few ice cubes, then shake well for about 30 seconds. Place a few ice cubes in a glass, strain the cocktail through a fine sieve into the glass and top up with ginger beer. Garnish with a slice of apple and a piece of apple peel.

 

 

 

Jack Tennessee Mule

Ingredients

  • 6 cl Jack Daniel's Old No.7
  • ginger beer
  • lime wedge

Glass

Mule mug or highball glass

Preparation

Pour all the ingredients into the glass and stir well, garnish with a lime wedge.

Mare Mule

Brand

Ingredients

  • 4.5 cl Gin Mare
  • 1.5 cl lemon juice
  • 1 cl honey syrup
  • 10 cl ginger beer
  • Basil sprig

Glass

Mule mug or highball glass

Preparation

Pour all the ingredients into the glass over ice and stir a little. Garnish with a few fresh basil leaves.

Moscow Mule

Ingredients

  • 4 cl Koskenkorva Vodka Original
  • 10 cl Fentimans Ginger Beer
  • lime juice
  • lime wedge

Glass

Mule Mug

Preparation

Measure the vodka into a glass with ice. Top up with ginger beer. Squeeze 1 lime into the glass, stir and garnish with a lime wedge.

Rum Mule

Brand

Ingredients

  • 5 cl Diplomático Mantuano rum
  • 10 cl ginger beer
  • 1 cl lime juice
  • lime wedge
  • some fresh mint leaves

Glass

Mule mug or highball glass

Preparation

Add all ingredients to the mule mug or highball glass, stir well with a bar spoon, and garnish with mint and a lime wedge.
