New Glendronach Single Malts
The renowned Glendronach distillery is expanding its range with a collection of outstanding single malts that will delight both connoisseurs and lovers of exceptional whiskies. With distinctive flavours and fine cask maturation, these new bottlings celebrate the art of sherry cask maturation for which Glendronach has been renowned for generations.
Three unique editions
The new releases – ‘Ode to the Valley’, ‘Ode to the Embers’ and ‘Ode to the Dark’ – are inspired by the rich nature and ancient traditions of the Highlands. Each bottling tells its own story and offers a unique flavour profile.
- Ode to the Valley: This fruit-forward expression, matured in ruby port and sherry casks, enchants with sweet notes of blossom nectar and ripe summer berries. It honours the fertile valleys of Scotland and Portugal.
- Ode to the Embers: A tribute to a bygone era when malt floors enveloped barley in warm smoke. This rare, lightly peaty expression combines smoky peat notes with the complexity of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
- Ode to the Dark: Matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, this is the richest expression in the collection. Deep, dark flavours and velvety textures combine for a luxurious experience that celebrates the darkness of the Highlands.
A natural expression of the Highlands
All new Glendronach whiskies are bottled in their natural cask colour and have an alcohol content between 46.2% and 50.8%. These natural bottlings showcase the range and depth of traditional sherry cask maturation.
